The Oakville Irish Dance Association and the Oakville Feis Association will be holding their Annual General Meeting to vote in new officers and develop a their executive committees. All members of the Goggin Carroll school of Irish dance, parents and siblings alike, are invited to attend the meeting The OIDA and the OFA both require a team of volunteers to make up the executive. Parent volunteers are necessary to make the children's dance experience a positive one that will make memories forever. No experience is necessary to volunteer and we all come with experiences and skills that can be helpful to these two committees. As many of the current executive members for the OIDA and OFA have dancers that will be or soon be retiring, it is important for new parent volunteers to step up. The meeting will include wine and cheese.
To encourage participation in the meeting, we will be holding a movie night for the children. This year we will be featuring JIG, the movie. Wear your pyjamas and enjoy some popcorn.
The Annual GC School Christmas party will be held again at O'Finn's Irish Temper. The Christmas party is open to all dancers and families that are OIDA members in good standing.
